DCC site visits
Today was our site visit to one of DCC's most exciting current projects: a private villa on Palm Jumeirah. The Villa is located at front N of Palm Jumeirah and has an amazing view to Zaabil and the one and only hotels, Atlantis, and basically most of Dubai. Mr Mazen Hallak, project manager, took us for a tour on the site and we were amazed by the luxurious finishings and details of the villa that has direct access to the beach. Mr Hallak discussed also many technical aspects of the building process including waterproofing and drainage systems and also discussed special construction requirements due to the villa's location on the reclaimed palm.
Midterm Presentations
In the afternoon, after lunch, it was time to present our midterm presentations. we moved to the conference room where we had some delicious sweets to make us relaxed. Team 1 started their presentation and after finishing they were ready for some tough questions from Dr. Clemence, Mr Haddad, and Mr.Yabroudi in addition to the two team supervisors. Afterwards, Team 2 took the stage for their presentation and similarly, some questions and comments were addressed by the committee.
