Exova Lab Visit
The first day of the 3rd week of the program was launched with a visit to Exova testing labs. After a quick presentation about general safety guidelines and a general background about Exova, our tour started by visiting two major compartments of the labs: the civil lab and the chemical lab. We were introduced to various tests that are central in determining materials properties and a must to achieve quality works. Afterwards, we were exposed to testing for cladding and facades.
After lunch, two presentations were scheduled: one about priced bill of quantities which was presented by Mr Abdallah Yabroudi, and one about formwork given by Mr Joe Farina.
Basketball Playoffs
In the evening, it was time for the basketball playoffs. Team A launched the competition with two wins in a row and sealed their place in the final. Later on, Team S defeated Team B in a close encounter to join Team A in the final.
