Reading and Understanding Construction Drawings
The second day at the office began with a very informative tutorial on construction drawings led by Mr. Mazen Hallak. Through this interactive lecture Mr. Hallak used his 15+ years of experience at DCC to teach us the essential skills needed to read and interpret construction drawings. Through this workshop we became familiar with many annotations, drawing techniques, and importance behind each detail of the drawings. This lecture concluded with Mr. Hallak teaching us the most important part of reading drawings, how to fold them up properly.
Creating Our Own Drawings
After a delicious lunch Mr. Yabroudi presented Nadine with a gift for the highest grade on Monday's pop quiz. In the afternoon we began an AutoCAD tutorial led by Mr. Hallak with the assistance of Mr. Shibu. This session taught us basic drafting techniques used in AutoCAD. After our tutorial we were assigned homework to practice our new AutoCAD skills which will be due on Saturday. This session concluded the work day and we had the rest of the day free to explore the city of Dubai.
